Our History
Tan Teng Boo founded Capital Dynamics in 1988. Since then, he has successfully build Capital Dynamics into Asia’s first global fund manager with operations in Singapore, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai, with more to come.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) fell 12.8% in a single day. This crash lasted until 8 July 1932 and wiped out 89% of the value of the companies listed on the NYSE. |

The NYSE performed the unexpected - the Dow Jones Industrial Average crashed 22.6% in a single day. The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange crashed 28% in two days. |

Capital Dynamics Sdn Bhd (CDSB) is established in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. |

CDSB became Malaysia's first independent investment adviser. i Capital, its flagship product in English and Chinese, was launched. |

Capital Dynamics (Australia) Ltd (CDAL) obtained its Australian Financial Services Licence from ASIC and became the first Asian investment house to do so. |

The i Capital International Value Fund (ICIVF) was launched. |

Capital Dynamics Asset Management (HK) Pte Ltd was incorporated. |

CDHK obtained its Type 9 licence from the Hong Kong SFC |

Capital Dynamics got approval for its Shanghai office |

The i Capital China Fund (ICCF) was launched. |
